Camp Bestival...

Wednesday, 1 August 2012

On Sunday I was invited to Camp Bestival, a family friendly festival at Lulworth Castle, on behalf of Ecover
I felt so lucky to have this opportunity as a blogger, and loved ever minute of the day. I was fretting about not getting a festival this year, and look what comes along.  I donned my festival gear (Watch out for an outfit post) and made my way to Dorset to meet Joe, who kept me company through the day.

The festival was a really lovely little one actually, and the castle and grounds were gorgeous, over looking the rolling green hills. I took all the festival atmosphere in, paying too much for an un-loved made burger and getting a sun burnt noise. Rizzle Kicks were the high light of my day and watching Joe hoola hoop bloody damn good- who knew!

Bunting, flags and pretty decorated stalls were out in force, floral head bands were worn and many activities were taken up. Ecover had a stand with free dance classes including yoga and zumba. We skipped this, but went to say hello, had our photo taken for the Facebook page and got some free Ecover goodies. Who can say no to free natural, Eco friendly washing up liquid, right? (this is what I've become now I have my flat!)

Have you ever been to Camp Bestival or any family friendly festival before? Would you go again?

  1. This looks like a nice day out - I've never been to a festival as the thought of being stuck with so many drunk people crushing you really freaks me out.

  3. So jealous! I've always really wanted to go to Bestival or it's miniature counterpart but they're at the opposite end of the country to me so it's a bit far too travel AND pay for tickets. :( One day though me and my brother will get there, since I promised I would take him!xx

  4. I'm a little bit jealous, it looks like you had an amazing time! I haven't been to a festival since Leeds 2010 so I'm a bit sad now! x

  6. Gosh, I'm as skinny as a plank! It's a shame that small boy ran into me while I was hula-hooping - I was on a roll! Thanks again, Steph.
