Dress (worn as top) c/o Glamorous| Trousers from Peacocks| Shoes from Primark

Recently I have found a new obsession with trousers! Yes, you heard right. Now, don't be too alarmed, you'll still catch me in a dress on most Weekends, but trousers are certainly creeping into my little wardrobe.
I've been thinking about jumping on the white band wagon, and thought these cute peg leg trousers were the way to do it. I feel a little annoyed, and happy at the same time, that the usual size I buy is a little baggy....but I kind of worked with it and thought the outfit was super pretty for a love summers day!
Sadly the dress I ordered was a little on the short side, hello bum cheeks, but it worked so well as a top. The yellow print is so pretty, and I love that it has little sleeves to cover my arms.

I feel truly happy with these photos, you know when an outfit post just comes together and you have a little smile on your face. It's probably a favourite from this year, and although I'm not skipping around the countryside, I still feel like my outfits have come a long way in the last 2 years (of my 4.5 years of blogging) and it is something to be proud of.
Stephanie Dreams has taken me to amazing places and fabulous opportunities. My little online diary has done me proud, and I need to remember that I am doing a good job, I may not be your favourite, I may never get a photo (let alone a spread) in a magazine or get a tweet back from the "famous" bloggers. Working a full time job, having a life, planning a wedding, bringing up a little boy, they're all pretty hard core things to do and I chose to run Stephanie Dreams, I want to make it the best possible and take it is far as I can!

  1. The print on that dress is completely gorgeous!
Re the rest of this post, I think your blog is really wonderful and the fact that you're doing all those other things and you know, living, at the same time is VERY hardcore. Comparison is the thief of joy - just keep doing what you're doing as long as you enjoy doing it.

  3. I was just thinking what a beautiful top, and then I saw it was actually a dress - genius!

I think you have a wonderful blog and so impressive that you are balancing making a great blog with everything else going on in your life. Hope you're okay - you should be proud of your space here!

  4. I love the print on that dress. It looks great with the trousers and I would have never guessed it was a dress. I have recently developed a new love of trousers. I adore dresses but since having my baby girl trousers are just so much easier to wear and I don't gave to worry about flashing my knickers when I bend over a pram!

  6. You look lovely Stephanie and I can really resonate with this post. I have been blogging for over 2 years now and my followers are barely anything...I sometimes think whats the point but then I remember that my blog isnt my full time job and as long as I make a few people happy then I am doing something right. I think your blog is fab :) xx

  7. Awww, these snaps are so beautiful! I love that dress styled as a top. I don't think I own anyyyy trousers (okay, maybe I have a few) but I definitely want to start wearing some nice tailored ones. These are hella cool!

  8. I can see why you like these photos so much, they're lovely! Tailored trousers are kind of my obsession right now, these look fab on you. I don't think you're 'unpopular' at all, lots of people like your blog and you should be so proud of running it, especially when you have all that other stuff to do as well! Most of my favourites don't appear in mags and all that anyway, just because you don't doesn't mean your blog (and you!) aren't worth anything <3 x

  9. I love the points you've raised, but I really admire your blog because it's so clear you're not writing it to gain followers! You're so happy just doing your own thing, Stephanie, posting about what you want and doing what you like and that's such a special quality. I think a lot of people get caught up in making sure their blogs are always offering something to the reader, but I like seeing people do what makes them happy.

Oddly, I had a comment from Louise on one of my posts last year. I think she must have found me through advertising on a blog that had advertised with her and it was such a little boost to hear she liked my blog.

Love the pants, by the way. I've not ventured into the white pants look, but it looks great on you!
