Lonely Date Night

Thursday, 8 October 2015

There are many nights that I'm alone in the evening, and finding something quick and easy to eat is really important for me...because I'm kinda lazy!
I like to call the nights when Sev and I are alone, our date nights, just a Mumma and her fur-baby hanging out and usually eating something a little naughty.

I was recently sent the Tefal Optigrill* and it's the perfect cooking companion for those evenings when you need something quick and easy, but pizza or cheese on toast just won't do.
I decided to make burgers and home made sweet potato fries, the perfect Friday evening meal, if you ask me. The Optigrill is really easy to use, even letting me know when my burgers were cooked to my liking. It's so smart and sleek, and although doesn't really go with our pastel perfect kitchen, it slots on the side perfectly when we need to use it.
It's super fast to cook and even has easy settings for different items you may be cooking, as well as a defrost setting too.
The main thing I love about it, is how easy it is to clean! You can remove the plates and the tray to wash or pop in the dishwasher- which is perfect for my OCD cleanliness.

I finished off the meal with a glass Stella Artois Cidre*the new elder flower flavour may be a new favourite of mine. It's fresh and lively, but works perfectly with the crisp apple flavours too. It's probably a little too easy to drink, but when wine isn't on the menu, this is the perfect alternative after a stressful day at work or even a evening at a friends.
