Last week called for another spaniel date with Alfie Bear, and we decided to visit Bristol. After walking up and down the harbour, we eventually decided to move on and visit the beautiful streets of Clifton.Although we visited Clifton not too long ago [blog post here] it made me excited to visit again, knowing how pretty it is and how dog friendly too. Emma was keen to visit as well, and we soon found the cutest pub to refill and refresh.
The Nettle & Rye looked pretty cute from the outside and didn't disappoint by letting the pooches join us inside. We stayed down stairs in the pub area, but oh my it's the loveliest pub you could think of.
The dogs filled up on water after warming up in the weather, while I decided on a wine while we browsed the menu....burgers all round please!
The dogs were very welcomed, with water being topped up as fast as they could drink it and being fussed over with treats and cuddles by the staff.
[Photo c/o Emma Bearman]Of course no trip would be complete without cake, for us humans and a play in the park for the dogs. They were all very excitable and happy to be off the lead together, barking a little too much, and getting on great like they're best doggy friends.
We couldn't leave without visiting Barkers of Clifton. I had my eyes on a tweed neckerchief that I sadly didn't find, but I did make up for it with another print and lots of treats for the dogs.
Thanks to Emma and Alfie for the best day, we can't wait to do it again soon.
